I Love Cinema!

Being an Aquarius, my imagination knows no bounds. From the age of 10, movies became my imaginative fuel more than just a visual spectacle. it became a lens through which I could observe and understand different cultures, architectural marvels, and diverse ways of life.

A turning point was at 11, watching Mohamed Henedi’s “Hammam fe Amsterdam,” Little did I know, this cinematic experience would be a turning point, not just making me laugh but triggering a profound love for exploring beyond my familiar surroundings and sparking a love for European travel.

I love different types of movies – science fiction, space odysseys, crisis anticipation films like “2012,” and gripping documentaries, particularly those delving into real entrepreneurial stories. Oddly enough, airplane crash investigation documentaries, which might sound strange. I watch them before I travel, and it makes things funny and scary 🙂

In my opinion, movie makers aren’t just crafting narratives; they are architects with deliberate plans. Behind the scenes, they embed messages within their stories, reaching out to hearts and minds. It might sound unconventional or evoke a sense of something affecting the mind, but I wholeheartedly believe in the power of movies to deliver hidden messages. Every plot twist, character arc, or scenic shot carries an intentional meaning, an invisible thread weaving through the cinematic tapestry.

While my daily routine involves indulging in movies at home, the cinema experience reigns supreme. Even with a home setup boasting big screens and surround sound, it can’t quite replicate the magic of the cinema. The smell of popcorn, being with others, and the enveloping sound provide an immersive experience unmatched elsewhere. In Dubai, my current residence, cinema outings have become a weekly ritual, a source of relaxation, and pure happiness, boosting my dopamine levels.

Movies are not just about watching stories unfold on the screen; it’s about living them. Becoming an engineer, adventurous explorer, or a quirky scientist within the span of a movie is not just escapism; it’s an entertaining exploration. Movies open doors to different lives, cultures, and perspectives while comfortably seated at home or in a cinema seat.
