Today, I’m writing a different kind of blog. It’s about Matthew Perry. Like so many around the world, love the show “Friends.” It made me laugh and feel like I knew the characters so much so that I planned to visit the “Friends” house in the US this December. This show was a big part of my life.
Yesterday, I heard the sad news. Matthew, who played Chandler Bing, passed away. Chandler was my favorite. Every time he cracked a joke, I laughed so hard. He made bad days feel good. He was special to many of us.
Matthew faced immense challenges due to his struggles with alcohol addiction, leading to a tragic life journey. I remember one of his interviews, the interviewer asked him how he wanted to be remembered. He said, “I would like to be remembered as somebody who lived well, loved well. Was a seeker. And his paramount thing is that wants to help people.” That showed he was not just funny, but also kind and caring. He had a big heart.
It’s hard to say goodbye. Many of us grew up watching him on “Friends.” He made us happy. Even though he’s gone, the happiness he gave will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Matthew. You were loved by so many.
